People want to know who you are, so tell them and showcase your expertise. Stand out and make your profile robust with details that add a comfort level users want and are looking for. Here are 7 quick steps to help you make your profile remarkable.

1. Friendly Profile Photo

LivesAlign best displays profile photos that are headshots from the shoulders up. Make sure your photo quality is high resolution and there is a good amount of lighting when capturing it. It is ideal to have a contrasting but solid color background to what you are wearing. This is a professional environment, reflecting that in your image is also key. So, make sure your shirt is ironed and hair is combed. Having a friendly photo of yourself in your profile helps create confidence and a feeling that you are a real person we can talk to.

2. Build out your Biography

Think of your biography as a miniature resume. Users are looking for advice but might not know who best to get it from. Help them narrow it down to you by sharing about yourself. If possible answer these questions:

• Who? – Who do you most like to help? (ie: couples for marriage counseling, discussion about relationships)
• What? – What are your skillsets and credentials? (ie: School, licenses, certifications, etc)
• Where? – Where are you located? Where have you worked? (ie: companies, clients)
• When? – How many years of experience do have?
• Why? – Why did you choose this path? What is your focus? 
• How? – How have you helped others? What are some tools /methodologies you like to use in practice? 

3. List Areas of Expertise

Provide context to the topics and areas of expertise listed on your profile. Go to My Listings and click New Listing to add each of the various areas of expertise you’re able to support someone with your insight and advice. 

Excellent listing titles include keywords a user would type in the search bar to find you. For example, A keyword might be “Self Discovery”, “Self-Awareness”, “Self-Development” for a description like: “Finding your inner voice and subconscious knowledge”. 

Add a relevant photo to the listing that re-enforces the expertise is a great way to highlight that subject matter even more.

4. Add social accounts.

If you have a website or social accounts, please feel free to add the links in your biography section. It allows users to learn more about you and build trust within our community by verifying your identity and social credibility. 

5. Add relevant Categories.

Our goal is to facilitate those looking for relationship advice with your skill sets to find and connect with you. By selecting at least two categories when posting a New Listing, it allows LivesAlign to place your profile and listing in the correct area for users to find you. 

We allow every Expert Advisor to select up to 10 categories per Listing that best define their abilities, insight, experience, or passions that they feel comfortable talking about. 

6. Set a reasonable hourly rate

If you are not sure what you should charge, think it through and take a look at some of our tips for formulating a competitive amount.

If you update your profile, you will be subject to re-approval. 

If you change your rate details, upon re-approval, the new rate will only apply to calls requested after the change.
